Lorraine’s father had passed away recently. She felt that her council had been too slow to provide care and medical equipment which added to the suffering in his final months.

Wanting to turn her frustrations into a positive change, Lorraine, backed by the MND Association with their Champion the Charter campaign, started a journey that ended up with her challenging Southwark council to change how they treat those with motor neurone disease.

We followed and filmed Lorraine as she petitioned the council and eventually won in a unanimous decision. Our film was then screened to councils across the country and now over 75% of councils in the UK have adopted the same charter.
