Meet the people behind Catch Creative!

Ever wondered what it takes to set up and run a film and animation company? Catch Creative has been around for over a decade and has helped companies, charities, apps and start-ups with growing and promoting their business. In the words of its founder Alex Sergent, Catch Creative was born ‘to bring change […] through storytelling’ – at its heart, Catch supports people who are passionate about changing the world with video campaigns that can make a difference.

We’ve sat down with a few of the people behind Catch Creative’s success to talk about why Catch is special to them and what it is they do. You can watch their video interviews below.

Alex Sergent – entrepreneur, storyteller and founder of Catch Creative

When Alex founded Catch Creative years ago, his goal was to tell stories that would bring about change. That’s what motivated him then and still motivates him now.

‘I love telling stories’, he says. Especially when storytelling becomes an instrument of change. Which is why Catch Creative now specialises in helping ‘those who have been setting up apps or start-ups’, as ‘they are passionate about bringing change to the world’ and Catch ‘share[s] that enthusiasm’.

Being an experienced entrepreneur and having created his own networking app, Alex brings to the table hands-on knowledge that he shares with clients who are going through a similar process. ‘I’ve had to overcome a lot of personal obstacles in my life,’ he adds. ‘[And] I’ve become resilient.’ This resilience that he takes to the film industry contributed to the company’s success.

Anna Adamiak – managing director

Anna has have been involved with Catch Creative on and off over the years and has seen it develop and adapt to changing video trends and customer needs. Her passion for charity work, especially involving young people, has helped make Catch what it is today.

Catch Creative originated in charity work and political education for young people. Faithful to its tradition, Catch Creative still takes on projects that are about positive change and innovation in society.’

Alice Gallo – written content intern

Despite being on board for just a few months, Alice has already had the chance to write and edit scripts for the clients, work on the website, write a few blog posts and contribute to proposals.

‘My favourite thing about working for Catch is how independent I am. I like being trusted,’ she says. Having trained as a screenwriter at Royal Holloway University of London, writing scripts is of course a highlight for her, but ‘even just writing the blog really helps.’ Her experience at Catch has developed her confidence as a professional writer and has given her the chance to learn new skills and do things that she had never done before.
